About Us
SAII
Who We Are
SAII originates from an initiative of the German Council for Sustainable Development, which established a network of organizations in East Africa, Latin America and India concerned with the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices to eradicate hunger and extreme poverty, under a program called “SustaiNet”. It was after this noble project that SAII was formally registered in 2009, to continue advocating the vision to ensure Sustainable Agriculture is widely adopted and practiced in the Eastern Africa region.
Modern Equipment
Guided by; Good governance that is transparent and accountable, Professionalism, Gender Equity, Pro-poor growth and Partnership, as key values, SAII’s mission is to promote good and modern agricultural practices/technologies along the value chains through:
- participatory approaches; documentation; knowledge sharing and information management; and capacity building of stakeholders, to expand, diversify and create job among youths and women in rural and ASAL regions.
