SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL INFORMATION INITIATIVE

Sustainable Agriculture for Healthy Environment and Food Secure Society

Who We Are

SAII originates from an initiative of the German Council for Sustainable Development, which established a network of organizations in East Africa, Latin America and India concerned with the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices to eradicate hunger and extreme poverty, under a program called “SustaiNet”. It was after this noble project that SAII was formally registered in 2009, to continue advocating the vision to ensure Sustainable Agriculture is widely adopted and practiced in the Eastern Africa region.

Our Mission

To promote good agricultural practices along the value chains through: participatory approaches; documentation; knowledge sharing and information management; and capacity building of stakeholders in the Eastern Africa region.

Our Vision

Sustainable Agriculture widely adopted and practised in the eastern Africa region
